"Certification of administrators is one way of helping ensure Tennesseans can have confidence in the election process and their election officials,” Secretary Hargett said. As Tennesseans head to the polls Tuesday, they should be aware that the state Division of Elections staff is available to answer questions or listen to any concerns about the voting process. People can call the division's toll free hotline, 1-877-850-4959, or visit www.GoVoteTN.com to get information about the elections.
The Division of Elections is headed by the Coordinator of Elections, Mark Goins, who oversees the election process in the State of Tennessee. The Coordinator of Elections works directly with ninety-five (95) local county election commissions, candidates and the public on election related issues. The county election commissions are appointed by the State Election Commission. There are ninety-five (95) county election commission offices throughout the State.
